Dear McLaughlin Families and Staff Members,

The PTO cordially invites you to our first PTO meeting of the 2018-2019 school year. Our meeting will start with a very informal Meet & Greet. Light refreshments will be provided by PTO members. Staff member, Mrs. Galeaz will present an orientation pertaining to volunteering for the Manchester School District and at McLaughlin, which will then be followed by our official PTO meeting.

Our PTO sponsors several events throughout the school year, along with fundraisers that help support the staff, school and our students. We’d love to have as many parents, guardians and staff members participate during the year. Our 3^rd Annual Color Run will take place in the spring.  The Color Run is a great event that the students love and so do the volunteers! We would love to have you participate! Our PTO also runs the McLaughlin School Store, sells spirit wear, provides an appreciation breakfast for the teachers and staff at the end of the school year, holds an annual “McLaughlin’s Got Talent” talent show and so much more. We would love to have you join both our McLaughlin PTO Facebook Page and our new McLaughlin PTO Discussion Facebook group for two-way communication (this group is only open to McLaughlin families and school staff members and you’ll need to request permission to access).

Our first agenda item will be a vote for our new 2018-2019 PTO Officers. Anyone may be nominated for any open position. You may also nominate yourself. Please submit a PTO NOMINATION FORM by September 24^th at 8:00pm. Terms are one year.

We are also looking for help with Volunteer Coordination. This is an ad hoc committee position that we feel is vital to helping organize our events and does not require a 2-year commitment.
